- Do Now: SWBAT Minute Math 7 to demonstrate learning of various concepts.
- Whole class: TW model expressions on a number line and describe the relationships between subtraction and addition. TW model the Key Learning Conjecture: subtracting a number is equal to adding its opposite.
- Collaborative group: Partner practice is differentiated by levels (Bachelors, Masters) Students evaluate and model on a number line expressions. Partners will also work on related word problems.
- Independent practice: Independent practice is differentiated by levels (Bachelors, Masters, Ph.D.) Students evaluate and model multi-step problem sets on a number line using expressions. SW will work on related word problems.
