- DO NOW: 1. Mason was ordering the following rational numbers in math class: -3.3, -15, -8 8/9. (a) Order the numbers from least to greatest. (b) List the order of their absolute value from least to greatest. (c) Explain why the orderings in part (a) and (b) are different. Also, do question 2 as well! Use your Criteria for Math Success Rubric to help!
- Whole class: SW will review absolute value on a number line given by teacher for assessment.
- Collaborative: SW continue to work on Engage NY word problems related to absolute value.
- Independent: SW continue to progress in their Summit PLP playlists for power focus areas. Again, ensure that you study diligently prior to requesting content assessments; selected students will present their Positive/Negative Integers Project.
- HOMEWORK: Study for math assessment from your math folder documents and complete any unfinished work to be handed in!! Also have your Mixed Review Quiz signed by your parent/guardian and returned tomorrow!!
